MY CURRENT STATUS
I am a PhD candidate in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at Colorado State University, conducting interdisciplinary research at the intersection of aquatic ecology and human dimensions of water management in the Arid West. My doctoral work investigates competitive interactions between invasive Western Mosquitofish (Gambusia affinis) and native Plains Topminnow (Fundulus sciadicus), aiming to identify coexistence mechanisms that inform native fish conservation. Alongside this ecological focus, I research decision-making dynamics among water users and managers in Colorado’s eastern plains, using interviews to explore pathways for balancing conservation with agricultural and municipal water needs.
